So who I will be choosing this year? That's a good question, because I've been wrestling with this for the past couple of weeks. After many hours of research to find the right candidate, here's what I got:

  • Governor - Robert C. Newman, II - write-in candidate
  • Lt. Governor - Tom McClintock
  • Secretary of State - Bruce McPherson
  • Controller - Tony Strickland
  • Treasurer - Claude Parrish
  • Attorney General - Chuck Poochigian
  • Insurance Commissioner - Steve Poizner
  • Member, State Board of Equalization, 1st District - David J. Neighbors
  • United States Senator - Richard "Dick" Mountjoy
  • United States Representative, 17th District - Jeff Edward Taylor - write-in candidate
  • Judicial - Yes on Nathan Mihara & Wendy Clark Duffy
  • Yes on Prop 1A, 83, 85, 90
  • No on 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E, 84, 86, 87, 88, 89

So why not Arnold? I dunno...I never liked him running our country. He's a great actor and makes fairly *good* actiony movies (except Last Action Hero...*shiver* ), but running the government I'm not so sure of. From what I see only just recently, he's becoming more Democratic than Republican. Phil Angelides is the lesser of the two evils...or the other way around. I only just discovered Robert Newman who seems like a pretty good candidate to look after the Christian belief. Check out his site! Not sure if he'll have enough votes though...I guess we just have to keep praying...

Another one that I found was the replacement for Senator. Never like Dianne Feinstein....she's too liberal and is totally against what Christians stand for. Thus, Richard "Dick" Mountjoy for Senate. He's a God-fearing man who I think is a good fit to represent us.

What I noticed while selecting my choices is that most of the people I chose were Republicans. Interesting...I never have associated myself to any particular party, but yet I find myself voting mostly one way.

But why am I devoting my entire blog entry to this particular election year? For those of you who know me, I am not usually vocal on stuff like this. I usually just vote for whomever, let God do the rest and keep quiet. After getting married, it's got me thinking of a few things...well...make that a LOT of things. One of which is the future of our next generation. Would I want our way of life and the things that we do be dictated by liberals and the ACLU on how we eat, sleep, drink and what we do? I think that's an easy answer. DUH!

I've included a good audio clip on Dr. James Dobson (Focus on the Family) about this election. He really put a good perspective on things. Take a listen and see for yourself how important these elections can be!
